Cairns Creative Crawl
Take an open-top-double-decker bus tour of some of Cairns’ creative hot spots. Cairns Creative Crawl is an “art” crawl that treats crawlers to an artsy tour of the city.
The Cairns Creative Crawl begins at the Centre of Contemporary Arts, Cairns. Crawlers should meet between 5 to 5:45pm. The bus stops at some of Cairns’ most popular art galleries before finishing at Cell Art Space.
The Cairns Creative Crawl takes you through some of the most interesting art galleries. Drop by UMI Arts Retail Shop and Galleries and see Torres Strait Islander arts and crafts made by UMI Arts Members. Go to As You Like it Hair Gallery and see Rock Pools, an exhibition which celebrates the life and wonders of our coastal shores. Next stop is Cairns Regional Gallery, the region’s premier art museum featuring three floors of exhibitions from local and interstate artists. Head over to Red Chair Gallery which has over 30 local artists work on display including Simon Poole, Di Sant, Zita Sudnika and more. Finally, the tour finishes at Cell Art Space which features experimental and finished artworks by emerging artist Sandy Edgar.
